BarZu a.k.a. Matteo Bonassin, born in Rovinj (Croatia) in 1990, gets in contact with electronic music in 2003, when he starts listening dj's like Carl Cox, Umek, V. Kanzyani, M. Bailey, Speedy J, Christian Varela & many more. He bought his first dj equipment in 2006, and from there to now he learned how to combine different genres of music in the best way. His genre could be defined as a mixture of Progressive/Tech House with some Electro & Trance influence. DJ's & producers like Cedric Gervais, EDX, Dirty South, Tocadisco, Zoo Brazil, Phunk Investigation, Jay Lumen, Patch Park, Ashley Wallbridge etc. keep influencing his view of electronic music. Nowadays he is engaged by oganizations like Energetica, Urban Sounds & Monvi Center. He played at clubs like: Temple (Monvi, Rovinj), Mojito (Rovinj), Fun Academy (Rijeka), Palach (Rijeka), Gruw (Rijeka), Seven (Opatija), Boogaloo (Zagreb) - sharing decks with Eric Sneo...
Recently BarZu won the Tuborg Green Beat DJ contest, with his mix "Totaal FM". The prize was a gig at the Arena Zagreb 22.05.2010, on a party with more than 15.000 people!!! BarZu shared decks with David Guetta, Umek & D and G at that Party!!!
